Business Concept “Documentary Style”, inclusive of current affairs, magazine, lifestyle, reality shows & of course the documentary genre in the broad sense. KWOZIMODO INTERNATIONAL is a “Documentary Style” Entertainment Production Company focusing in & showcasing borderless stories of trans-cultural migration in the current contemporary Diaspora and the richness and diversity of the participants for their local community audience as well as exporting the programs internationally including regions of their original communities back home.
KWOZIMODO is particularly interested in stories that play with forms, techniques and strategies from different disciplines & cultures. They are interested in how these works are created, developed, realized, and received so that they might discover their own approach and process for making them. They are most interested in and producing “trans-cultural” works. Recognizing that “trans-cultural” is a broad term with many varieties within its spectrum; “trans-cultural” works are define as stories that navigate and negotiate between significant influences from more than one culture – typically ethnic or national, also regional, and even a subculture. The integration or accommodation of multiple cultures is not limit to the level of the content, but rather, the ‘trans-ness’ of the work can also be realized at the level of form – such as structure, performance technique, and/or presentation. That is, a trans-cultural work might feature a story from one culture, but the ways in which the story is told could by definition involve an encounter of more than one cultural influence. |
